Elisa Rose is a singer songwriter, DJ and the founder of InnerBody. She beckons listeners into her inner landscape with tenderness, warmth and a honey toned voice. Her original music follows in the path of her alternative lifestyle, traversing the worlds of folk, soul, devotional, ambient and electronic music. The resulting listening experience is one of immersion, where lyricism trail blazes through themes of love, lust and the spiritual journey and is backed by intricately designed lush instrumental arrangements.
A multi-instrumentalist, Elisa utilizes acoustic guitar, keyboard and her voice to craft her sound.
Herstory
A student of many schools, Elisa’s upbringing and mentality have consistently registered outside the mainstream — from being raised by revolutionary parents on a commune in Ojai California to attaining status as a Kirtan Wallah and studying Indian classical music on the banks of the Ganges. A true lover of humanity and an avid seeker of self-knowledge, Elisa's music is imbued with messages of awakening and healing. She attributes the incantatory quality of her sound to her work with various plant medicine and shamanic traditions of the Americas.

As a DJ, Elisa loves to take her audiences on a journey with slow builds and ecstatic peaks. She plays grooves from around the world, favoring electronica that draws from the rhythms and melodies of Africa and South America and weaves original compositions into her sets. She often concludes her dance journeys with acoustic serenades. Elisa started a greatly celebrated weekly Ecstatic Dance in Ojai in the fall of 2022. Whenever she’s not traveling, you can find her behind the decks on Thursday nights at 7:30 pm at Light and Space Yoga.

Elisa is in love with being alive and has formed the work of InnerBody to share this love. A musician, yogini, somatic practitioner, modern mystic and passionate student of transformation. Elisa weaves presence towards what is arising in the moment with her tools to transmit the bliss of being and connect with the creativity of our essence. Born in Ojai CA and raised in an intentional community; she has delved deeply in the ways of council, silent meditation retreats, group dynamics, long forays into the wilderness and shamanic initiations. Elisa is a certified “Big Leap Coach” by The Hendricks Institute and a graduate from their 2 year Leadership & Transformation Mastery Program. She is a certified Chakra Yoga Teacher and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Practitioner. Her passion for knowing herself at the core and exploring the Great Mystery has led her to many teachers including Kathlyn and Gay Hendricks, Adyashanti, Sahajananda, Kiran Trace, Kun Tanat (vipassana), Deepak Chopra and various 5 Rhythms facilitators. Elisa has been traveling the world sharing her music and facilitating transformational containers for the past 14 years.

lineage
Elisa was born into a family of movers and shakers. Her father, Bob, was a leader in the Free Speech Movement, arrested during the People’s Park Protest in Berkeley and friend of Terrance Mckenna and many other 60’s luminaries. He spent years dodging the Vietnam draft; living in solitude in the mountains for months at a time foraging for food and practicing yogic texts. Bob went on to found an intentional community, Full Circle Farm, that is still thriving 35 years later.
Her mother, Adriana, a passionate and brilliant artist fled her native Buenos Aires, Argentina during the military dictatorship in 1970 for a life of creative freedom in London and Ibiza. In 1981, she made a courageous move to Santa Barbara, CA as a single mother. Her intuition led her to Full Circle Farm where she met and eventually married Bob. Adriana is the creator and designer of the socially conscious jewelry company, Love Heals. Through her work, more than 1.5 million trees have been planted and many environmental and humanitarian projects have been funded.
Elisa’s eldest brother, Gunnar, is one of her greatest allies, collaborators and sources of inspiration. He is the founder of Thrive Market, an online retailer of healthy and organic foods at below retail cost. He is a true visionary in service to humanity and the Earth. Gunnar bought Elisa her first guitar when she was 10 years old and to this day, they love making music together.
